The Uniform With No Audience.
For years, the market gave us one choice: design without substance, or substance without design. We wanted a third option — clothing with no audience to perform for, only a door to close behind us. So we built it.
THE BOTANICAL COTTON STANDARD
We Chose the Fabric First.
Most cotton is sold by its origin, not its touch — short fibers, loose weaves, softness that fades after a few washes. We decided how it should feel against your skin first, then searched until we found the fiber that could deliver it. Not the easiest to source. The one that holds.
THE MECHANISM
What happens between cotton and skin, all night.
01
Moisture is always there.
Fabric meets moisture every night. That is simply what fabric does.
02
The fabric decides where it goes.
Cotton absorbs it and releases it back into the air. Polyester barely absorbs at all, so it stays on the surface.
03
And the night follows.
In synthetics, your body spends the night regulating a temperature that never settles. Cotton does not fight you for it.
Standard moisture regain: cotton around 8.5%, polyester around 0.4%.
One more thing cotton does not do: hold a static charge.
Botanical Cotton. Nothing woven in to work against you.
THE HONEST COMPARISON
Cotton is not the best fiber at everything.
It is the best fiber for this one job: eight hours against resting skin. Here is the whole picture, including where the others win.
Botanical Cotton
Moisture absorbed · ~ 8.5%
Absorbs moisture and releases it back into the air. Neutral against skin, no static build-up, washes at home without losing its hand.
Polyester
Moisture absorbed · ~ 0.4%
Barely absorbs. Moisture stays on the surface of the skin, and the fiber holds a static charge. Cheap to produce, which is why most sleepwear is made of it.
Silk
Moisture absorbed · ~ 10%
Absorbs more than cotton, and it is unmatched on smoothness. But it traps heat, slips against the sheets, and needs cold hand-washing. Twice the price.
Linen
Moisture absorbed · ~ 12%
Absorbs and dries faster than anything here. Wins outright in a heatwave. The trade-off is the hand: a firmer, drier, more textured surface against skin.
Wool
Moisture absorbed · ~ 15%
Absorbs the most of all, and holds warmth even when damp. Built for cold. Its scales are what make it itch-prone for skin that stays in contact for eight hours.
Every fiber here is good at something. We picked the one whose something is a night in bed.
Botanical Cotton in all sleepwear. Zero blend.
Botanical Cotton in the intimates. The other 5% is elastane, only where shape depends on it.
Standard moisture regain: cotton ~8.5%, polyester ~0.4%.
